1968 (TYD579G) MG MGB
Roadster

Vehicle Description
Brown and Gammons are delighted to offer this lovely fully restored example of the MGB roadster which underwent a full restoration in 2003 and still looks lovely today, just take a look at the photos.
This is from the original restoration:
Stunning example finished in Tartan Red with full Black leather interior and new Black Mohair hood.
Subjected to a complete bare metal restoration to concourse standard in recent years i can safely say this is one of the best cars on the market today.
Please note this is not a standard car and a lot of time and effort has been spent to ensure that this car performs as well as it looks.
The matching numbers engine is now covered by an Aluminium bonnet and has had a considerable amount of upgrades including a rebore to 2.0L uprated pistons, gas flowed head, new valve seats and uprated valves installed to future proof the vehicle against unleaded petrol. An uprated oil pump and intercooler was also fitted to feed the stage 2 camshaft and to finish off the job a weber carb and a full stainless exhaust were fitted for maximum respiration.
With the extra power in mind it was important to make sure the chassis could keep up.
The upgraded disc brakes now benefit from a servo and steel braided lines to increase the stopping power and the suspension has also received upgraded lever arm units, springs all round, upgraded anti roll bar and poly bushes.
The car sits 1" lower than a standard car which is not very noticeable when you are looking at the car however the drive has been improved dramatically without compromising on comfort.
